Jewellery Components from Tierracast
IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT.
TierraCast sold all their moulds, designs and assets to another company in Greece this year (2024). Whilst there is a change over in supply (US made to EU made) TierraCast will not be available through the website, only through Etsy. When most or all of the US stock is depleted, the EU supply will be available on this site.
Currently the new manufacturers are not producing much of the gold plated finishes. Black seems to be discontinued. The brass plating is lighter in colour, less like the darker, more bronze like colour from before.
Jewellery should be fun and wearable, but it doesn't always need to be made from precious metals. For a few years now I had been looking for a range of high quality components that I can feel confident about.
Enter Tierracast who are based in California, USA and make a range of jewellery components in, Lead Free, Pewter with thick plating of Copper, Brass, Silver, Gold, Rhodium (now discontinued) or White Bronze. They even do a black plating for a great contrast with silver and lighter colours. Please note that the black plating contains nickel. I'm sure you will enjoy their ever changing range. Some pieces such as jump rings, chain and clasps are made from steel in either Sri Lanka or China.
